Nakiska
Chalet is located about two miles off Rt. 219 between Elkins and Lewisburg,
West Virginia. We're 1 hour south of Elkins, and about 1 1/2 hours north of Lewisburg. Note: Check in for Nakiska Lodge at the
Bed & Breakfast.
You can check-in after 3 p.m. We appreciate if you let
us know what time to expect you. Otherwise we will assume you will arrive between
6 & 9 p.m.
Driving South on Rt. 219 from Elkins through Huttonsville, turn
right onto Mingo Flats Road (5 miles south of Rt. 219 & Rt. 15 junction at Valley
Head). Drive 1.7 miles, turn right onto Dry Branch Road. Nakiska Chalet is 1/2 mile on the
right.
Driving North on Rt. 219 from Lewisburg through Marlinton, turn
left (sharp) onto Mingo Flats Road 9/10 mile north of the Randolph County line
(23 miles north of Marlinton). Drive 8/10 mile, turn left onto Dry Branch Road. Nakiska
Chalet is 1/2 mile on the right. Caution:
There is a Dry Branch Road at Mace, before the Randolph County Line. This is a DIFFERENT
road. They connect, but will be much longer and can be confusing. Do not turn here. Follow
the above directions.
When you drive in West Virginia,
you'll enjoy our good road system, but it's a good idea to leave the mile-a-minute
mentality at the border! Enjoy the slower pace imposed by our terrain. Here are some
estimated driving times:
From Charleston, WV -- 3 1/2 hours
From Clarksburg, WV -- 2 1/2 hours
From Washington, DC -- 5 1/2 hours
From Pittsburg, PA ------4 hours
